Customer Cases: Moderate Machine Equipment in the Field

Every machine we ship is built for a specific kind of work - remote mines, off-grid communities, high-heat job sites where downtime isn't an option.

These are three real projects where our equipment was put to the test. The numbers speak for themselves.

1.YT27 Rock Drills For Small-Scale Gold Mining – Peru

  • Project Overview

    FieldDetails
    LocationPeru
    IndustrySmall-scale underground gold mining
    ProductYT27 Air-Leg Rock Drill
ApplicationTunnel face drilling, hole diameter φ34–42mm, depth 2.5–3m per hole
  • YT27 Pneumatic Rock Drilling Machines Air Pusher Leg Rock Drill

    The Challenge

Small-scale gold mining operations in Peru are typically scattered across remote, high-altitude terrain. The client needed equipment that could be carried between narrow tunnels without machinery access - which ruled out most larger drill rigs immediately.

Beyond portability, two other problems shaped the buying decision. First, sourcing spare parts locally was unreliable; any machine with proprietary or non-standard components would eventually become a liability. Second, the workforce had mixed experience levels, meaning a machine with a steep learning curve or tight tolerance for operator error was a risk the client couldn't afford.

  • Our Solution

We recommended the YT27 - one of the most field-proven rock drill designs in the industry - precisely because its core components share high interchangeability with other widely available parts in the market. The client wouldn't be locked into a single supply chain.

To address the operator skill gap, we supplied a simplified Spanish-language operation card and disassembly guide with each unit, along with a recommended first-batch spare parts kit: water needles, shank adapters, and air-leg seals.

  • yt jack hammer

    Results

    • Drilling speed: 0.25–0.35 m/min in f8–10 hardness rock
    • Reliability: 300 operating hours, zero major component failures
    • Client reorder: 100 additional YT27 units placed within 6 months

This case is directly relevant to buyers in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa operating small and mid-scale underground mines - the terrain conditions and logistical challenges are closely comparable.

2.Mobile Water Well Drilling Rig For Rural Communities – Sierra Leone

  • Project Overview

    FieldDetails
    LocationSierra Leone
    IndustryRural water infrastructure
ProductFYL200 Mobile Water Well Drilling Rig
ApplicationCommunity drinking water wells, φ150–200mm bore diameter, 40–60m depth
  • page-1200-900

    The Challenge

The project site had no connection to the public grid - diesel-only power was a baseline requirement, not a preference. Beyond that, the client was working across multiple village locations, so the rig needed to be fully mobile and towable between sites without specialized transport.

Two further constraints made this project less forgiving than a typical commercial drilling job. Fuel economy mattered because resupply logistics were costly and unpredictable. And because local mechanical repair capability was limited, the rig's fault tolerance and ease of field maintenance were evaluated as carefully as its drilling performance.

  • Our Solution

FYL200 Portable Water Well Drill Rig Deep Rock Drilling Machine suppliers

We supplied the FYL200 mobile drilling rig, configured with a low-RPM, high-torque rotary motor - well suited to the loose and weathered rock formations common at these depths in West African terrain. A fuel flow meter and feed limiter were added to help operators maintain an efficient drilling rate without overloading the system.

To support local maintenance, we simplified the hydraulic circuit layout and applied bilingual (Chinese + illustrated) maintenance labels directly to the machine. This gave local technicians a working reference even without formal training.

  • FYL200 Portable Water Well Drill Rig Deep Rock Drilling Machine

    Results

    • Drilling speed: Average 2.5 hours per well (50m depth, mixed loose and weathered rock formation)

    • Fuel consumption: 8–10 L/hour under standard operating load
    • Project outcome: 7 functional drinking water wells completed for local communities

For African infrastructure and NGO procurement contacts: this rig has been specifically adapted for off-grid, low-support environments. It is one of our most-requested models for the region.

3. 185CFM Diesel Air Compressor Powering YT27 Rock Drills – Brazil

  • Project Overview

    FieldDetails
    LocationBrazil
    IndustryMining / tunnel construction
    Product185CFM Diesel Screw Air Compressor
ApplicationCentralized air supply for multiple YT27 rock drills, open-cut and tunnel assist
  • 5

    The Challenge

Operating in Brazil's coastal and highland zones means dealing with sustained heat and high humidity - two conditions that put consistent pressure on compressor cooling systems. The client's previous unit had suffered heat-related shutdowns during peak summer operation, which had real productivity and cost consequences.

The client also needed a single compressor capable of running two to three YT27 drills simultaneously without pressure drop. And after years of higher operating costs with their previous brand, fuel efficiency had moved from a "nice to have" to a firm requirement.

  • Our Solution

We made targeted modifications to adapt the unit for the Brazilian operating environment: cooling fan speed and radiator surface area were increased to handle sustained high ambient temperatures, and an oil-water separator was added at the air outlet to ensure dry, clean air delivery to the downstream drills.

To meet the multi-drill demand, we supplied a purpose-matched quick-connect air manifold and the appropriate hose lengths for connecting two YT27 units simultaneously at working pressure.

  • rock drill hammer jack

    Results

    • Multi-tool output: Stable simultaneous operation of 2 YT27 rock drills; air pressure maintained at 0.5–0.6 MPa
    • Reliability: 500 continuous operating hours with zero heat-related shutdowns
    • Fuel savings: Approximately 12% lower fuel consumption versus client's previous compressor brand
